Dear Museums Australia Education members,

RE: Annual General Meeting and Election of new Committee

On Tuesday 5 June 2018 at 12.30-1.45pm Museums Australia Education (MAE) will hold its Biennial General Meeting and elections for new committee members at the Museums Galleries Australia National Conference in Melbourne (Meeting Room, Meat Market).

We would like to encourage you to attend the meeting (you need not be a delegate at the conference to do so) and to nominate (2018_MAE_Nomination_Form) for the MAE committee or to nominate one of your colleagues (with their permission!).  The responsibilities are not onerous, and mostly involve participating in conference calls 3-4 times a year. Links to nomination forms are below.

If you cannot attend in person can you please fill out the attached Proxy form – if you don’t know anyone who will be attending the meeting, you could give your proxy to the MAE Treasurer, Pete Hoban, Secretary, Samantha Rutter, or myself. Please do this, to help ensure that we have a quorum.

There are great benefits to being on the MAE committee including:

• working with great colleagues from other cultural institutions around Australia
• providing a professional development service for yourself and your colleagues
• establishing relationships within this key cultural education sector, and
• networking at a local state and national level.
