Waka: Exploring Waka Kaupapa, New Zealand

This is an opportunity for New Zealand Museum Educators and those visiting for #MA2016conf to gather on Sunday 15th May 2016.

A MEANZ event for educators attending the conference or other museum educators just wishing to connect.

“Waka are a metaphor for lifelong learning.” Tutor, BEST Pacific Academy

Join us on this waka journey on the Waitemata Harbour as we explore this statement and  connect with each other.

When: 1pm to 3.30pm  Sunday 15th May 2016

Location:  NZ Maritime Museum, Hui Te Ananui A Tangaroa, Corner Quay and Lower Hobson Street, Viaduct, Auckland

Cost:  $20 (payable in cash on the day please)

*Limit of 30 people.

*Please wear clothing suitable for the weather conditions and sailing on the day including non-slip footwear, sun hat and sun/wind protection.
